The Classics Illustrated Specials series was a specialised publication from Classics Illustrated (see www.classicsillustrated.co.uk) which dedicated each comic book to a particular reference subject - be it a passage of history, a biblical epoch or a particular historic figure. Thus, for example, you will find a comic dedicated to the The Second World War, The American Civil War, The Ten Commandments, The Story of Jesus and Teddy Rooseveldt (in The Rough Rider). These are in full colour and were produced in the forties, fifties and sixties. Here you will find many of the titles for sale and all the titles produced listed - there were 16 of them.
